23. Albany

Sunday, 11 NOV 2012

Albany is a traditional name associated with Scotland. The title of Duke of Albany was bestowed on brothers or younger sons of the king of Scotland, often in the 16th and 17th centuries merging with the crown, beginning with James VI of Scotland (James I of England). So it shouldn't be surprising how we were greeted at the dock.

In town there was a sort of fair going on in the main square. This big fellow is the endangered Poteroo.

A tribute to Mokare, a man of peace who urged peaceful coexistence with the illegal immigrants who stole the aborigine's lands.
