24. Esperance

Monday, 12 NOV 2012

On a farm near a granite quarry outside of Esperance stands a faithful full-scale replica of Stonehenge. This one will probably last longer because it is made of granite rather than the sandstone of the original. There is an interesting story behind this, which you can Google if you are curious. This recreation stands the anthropologists on their heads - - those "experts" with their unfounded speculations about the deep religious purposes of Stonehenge. As this convincingly demonstrates, it was actually just a large cattle pen!
